In Vs. Croagunk, Silver used his Croagunk in the Croagunk Festival in Pastoria City. He passes the appearance round, being remarked on his remarkable sheen. In the brick breaking round, he broke all 10 blocks. He battled Hamilton's Craig the Croagunk in the finals, using sneaky maneuvers to catch Craig off guard and defeat him. He then had a quick battle with Ian's Piplup, demonstrating his Dry Skin ability and informing Ian of the Pokémon type at the Pastoria gym.
In Vs. Dialga and Palkia, Croagunk is chosen to work with Looker's Croagunk to battle Neptune's Poliwrath. The two work well together, but Neptune eventually fled the battle before it was completed.
In Vs. Flygon, Croagunk participated in the preliminary round of the Lily of the Valley Conference. He battled Holly's Pelipper, which used its Drizzle ability to make it rain. That and Hydro Pump activated Croagunk's Dry Skin ability to absorb the attacks. He defeats Pelipper without taking any damage.
