Marshtomp is the Mud Fish Pokemon. It evolves from Mudkip at level 16, and evolves into Swampert at level 36.

BiologyEdit

Marshtomp slightly resembles a cyan, bipedal mud fish. It has long arms and stubby legs, with two slits at the end of them to make fingers. Marshtomp has a dark blue fin on it's head, and two more on it's hips. It has an orange circle on it's stomach. It has two more circles on it's cheeks, with points emerging from them. Marshtomp has orange eyes with a black iris, and a pink mouth and tongue. It is 2 feet 4 inches tall, and weighs 61.7 pounds.

  • Mudkip made it's anime debut in Abandon Ship!, where it was under the ownership of a trainer named Tommy.
  • Nicholai's Marshtomp appeared in Zig Zag Zangoose!, where it was revealed that is evolved from Nicholai's Mudkip.
  • A Marshtomp appeared in Lights, Camerupt, Action.
  • Another Marshtomp appeared in Deceit and Assist!.
  • A wild Marshtomp appeared in Delcatty Got Your Tongue!.
  • Brock's Mudkip evolved into a Marshtomp in A Chip Off the Old Brock.

The surface of Marshtomp's body is enveloped by a thin, sticky film that enables it to live on land. This Pokémon plays in mud on beaches when the ocean tide is low.

Marshtomp is much faster at traveling through mud than it is at swimming. This Pokémon's hindquarters exhibit obvious development, giving it the ability to walk on just its hind legs.

EmeraldEdit

Its toughened hind legs enable it to stand upright. Because it weakens if its skin dries out, it replenishes fluids by playing in mud.

It is at its best when on muddy ground with poor footing. It quickly overwhelms foes struggling in mud.
