In Vs. Mime Jr., Jessilina used Mime Jr. in an unofficial contest. Mime Jr. mimicked Jesslina's movements then used Confusion for her to copy its movements. Jessilina moved onto the finals, battling against Dawn's Mareep. Mime Jr. overwhelms Mareep, as well as being immune to Growl thanks to its Soundproof ability. It causes Dawn to run out of points, giving Jessilina the win.
In Vs. Kricketune and Roselia, Mime Jr. performed with Cacnea in the appeal round of the Hearthome contest. It used Role Play to copy Cacnea's Sand Veil ability. Their performance was good enough to move Jessilina onto the battle round.
In Vs. Gabite and Vaporeon, Mime Jr. was used with Yanmega in a battle round of the Grand Festival. It copied Yanmega's Speed Boost ability and its moves, allowing them to overpower their opponents and move onto the next round.
