Grovyle is the Wood Gecko Pokémon. It evolves from Treecko at level 16, and evolves into Sceptile at level 36.

BiologyEdit

Grovyle resembles a bipedal, slightly dinosaur-like green lizard. It's lower jaw to it's stomach is red, with a green line separating the jaw-torso and the stomach. It's limbs have raptor-like hands with two claws. Grovyle has three dark green leaves on it's wrists, two larger leaves for it's tail, and a dark green "ponytail". It's eyes are yellow with black pupils. Grovyle is 2 feet, 11 inches tall, and weighs 47.6 pounds.

  • Ash's Sceptile was caught as a Treecko in Tree's a Crowd. It evolved into a Grovyle in Exploud and Clear. And finally, it evolved into a Sceptile in Odd Pokémon Out.
  • Grovyle made it's anime debut in What You Seed is What You Get, under the ownership of a trainer named Natasha.
  • A Grovyle appeared in the anime adaptation of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness. He appeared briefly in the beginning, stealing one of the Time Gears. He has a larger role in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky - Beyond Time & Darkness

The leaves growing out of Grovyle's body are convenient for camouflaging it from enemies in the forest. This Pokémon is a master at climbing trees in jungles.

SapphireEdit

This Pokémon adeptly flies from branch to branch in trees. In a forest, no Pokémon can ever hope to catch a fleeing Grovyle however fast they may be.

EmeraldEdit

Leaves grow out of this Pokémon's body. They help obscure a Grovyle from the eyes of its enemies while it is in a thickly overgrown forest.
