In Vs. Electivire, Gary uses Electivire to save Ian from Cobalt's Lickilicky. It then battled Proton's Weezing, managing to drive it off. It later battles against Ian's Swampert, having a poor move pool to battle it. Electivire puts up a fight, but is defeated.
In Vs. Shieldon, Gary had Electivire battle alongside Staraptor to battle a horde of Golbat and Skarmory. When Ian's group arrived, it helped push through so they could go after Hunter J. Hunter J's Salamence used Hyper Beam, with Electivire and Piplup trying to deflect it. They failed and Hyper Beam defeated it.
In Vs. Lake Spirits, Electivire teamed up with Magmortar, Umbreon and Shieldon to take on Team Galactic. It primarily battles against Saturn's Toxicroak, being repeatedly pushed back by it. It uses Light Screen to help protect the team, but is eventually defeated.
