Yanmega is a Pokémon owned by Brendan. It is the first Pokémon confirmed that he caught in Johto, and his ninth revealed Pokémon.

Pokémon Tales: Dawn[]
In Vs. Snorlax and Munchlax, Yanma was chosen to team up with Dawn's Ponyta in a tag battle against Roman's Lickitung and Kylie's Clefairy. The two won easily, Yanma beating Lickitung with Ancient Power. It evolved into Yanmega after the victory.
In Vs. Yanmega, Yanmega battled Dawn's Flaaffy in the finals of the Wallace Cup. Yanmega uses its newly learned Air Slash to block Discharge, then was able to take an early lead. Flaaffy used its Cotton Spore to slow it down enough to take major damage. Time runs out before Yanmega can land the finishing blow, causing Brendan to lose.
In A Slight Detour Heading Back to Johto, Yanmega was chosen to fight Damon's Reuniclus. It used Super Sonic to stop Reuniclus' Psychic to allow Millis to escape. It then use U-Turn to damage Reuniclus and swap out for Spinda.

In Vs. Shadow Zangoose, Yanmega teams up with Max's Ralts to battle a Shadow Poochyena and Tentacruel. Yanmega hits them with Bug Buzz, and avoids confusion. However, it takes big damage from a Shadow Rave attack. It manages to weaken Tentacruel enough for Brendan to snag it.
In Vs. Shadow Sudowoodo, Yanmega teamed up with Sneasel to battle Miror B's Darling and Baby, both of which are Ludicolo. Yanmega is the main offensive wielder in the battle, able to harm both foes. Darling continues to target it with its healing moves. Yanmega manages to defeat Baby with Sneasel's help. Yanmega is defeated by Shadow Sudowoodo.
In Vs. Shadow Claydol, Yanmega broke through a window and forced Eximm to flee with Bug Buzz.
In Vs. Shadow Solrock, Yanmega makes a cameo tracking down Eximm.
In Vs. Shadow Electivire, Yanmega teamed up with Brendan's Sudowoodo battling Ein's Stunfisk and Shadow Electivire. Its Bug Buzz defeated Stunfisk, as the two Pokémon tag teamed Electivire. They weakened it enough to allow Brendan to snag it.
In Vs. Ardos, Yanmega helped battle Ardos and his 3 Shadow Pokémon. It attacks Slaking with its full power, though it isn't enough to defeat the Lazy Pokémon. Yanmega is defeated by Slaking.
In Vs. Shadow Togetic, Yanmega was used to make a perfect tempo in the Shadow Purification Machine.
In Vs. Ralts, Yanmega was used to make a perfect tempo in the Shadow Purification Machine.
Pokémon Tales: Mega/Companion[]
In Vs. Noivern and Altaria, Yanmega participates in an air battle. It fends off Zinnia's Noivern and Altaria, focusing primarily on Noivern. When Brendan was free falling, it caught him and revealed a Psychic to help carry him and fly. They drove off their opponents so Brendan could recover.
In Vs. Mega Metagross, Yanmega assists Klefki in defeating Zinnia's Noivern.
In Flash Battle, Yanmega battles and defeats Misha's Purrloin.
